From the city of Carcassonne to the Pic St Loup

From Carcassonne, you cycle towards the Cabardès before reaching the small winding roads of the Minervois. The border is almost imperceptible... but you are now in the heart of the St Chinian vineyards. The backdrop is superb: the Caroux and its steep relief while the banks of the Orb are welcoming. The route then leads you to the Faugérois and its vineyards following the contour lines ... the Salagou Lake and its red ruffles, the vineyards of the Terrasses du Larzac, the gorges of the Hérault...

Day 1 : arrival and guided tour of Carcassonne
Day 2 : Start of the bike ride - 44 km - elevation + : 160 m
Day 3 : Bike ride- 34 km - elevation + : 380 m
Day 4 : Bike ride - 47 km - elevation + : 425 m
Day 5 : Bike ride- 61 km - elevation + : 995 m
Day 6 : Bike ride - 42 km - elevation + : 450 m
Day 7 : Bike ride - 47 km - elevation + 445 m
Visits to wine producers - basis 2 visits / day
You are welcomed by passionate winegrowers who create the soul of their land. They will introduce you to their domain, their grape varieties and make you discover their wines that they raise with love. We select preferably producers in organic farming or biodynamic farming.

So if "soft mobility" tempts you, Carcassonne station is there to welcome you. The return trip can be made from Montpellier.
